Grandma's ARRivaL

Have you ever watched Money Not Enough 2??
Neh, the movie that was shown on cinemas quite recently, and I think it's still on board as it's so damn interesting... =)

Well, if you have seen the movie, I guess you will be one of them who laugh out like mad in the cinema when you went across some of their superb interesting scenes.. That's when the granny was diagnosed with the Alzheimer's disease...
  1. "Ah Hong ah, li wu kua tio wa e lai sa bo? Neh, wa jin su ka eh, go wu neng jek Mickey Mouse eh..."(as in the granny in search for her bra with 2 Mickey Mouse printed on it)
  2. "Ah Hui ah, dui lai liao a? Li jiak ba bue?" Ah Hong says: "Jiak ba liao." And then granny repeated the question many many times till Ah Hui got damn frustrated and lied to granny that he was very very very hungry which ended up he being forced to finish another 3 bowls of rice with his full tummy.. (seriously, this is the scene which caught all audiences' heart----- unexplainable humor)
  3. She was caught for speeding as a cause of her 3rd son but she did not know how to drive.. When asked by the police to prove that she was the one speeding, she ended up asking the question : "How do I start the car engine?"
There are many many more where I do not need to elaborate... You have to see for yourself... =)

And the point starts from here, my granny behaved almost like her, just that the story content varies as we came from different family backgrounds...

She arrived at our home yesterday, I brought her back by fetching her from her house to mine after school.. She was currently assisted by a maid, and by time when I reached her home, I was told by the maid in a playful manner that my granny repeated asking whether she brought along her meds for the 20th time... (she ended up asking 25 times in total yesterday even after she arrived at my place..) She also repeated asking me how did I appear in front of her door step, I replied about 4-5 times with the same answer.. The maid helped me to explain also, but she thought that the maid was fooling around..

Next, I was asked many times about my brothers too, may you take note that all questions are the same... "Your eldest bro at S'pore ah?" " Your younger bro know how to drive already ah?"

But anyway, I felt kinda guilty as I couldn't get what she meant most of the time and worst still, I do not know how to reply her... Our language barrier.. I was answering the " Mm ahs and ohs" all the while.. But I can understand some of the part where she always repeat lar..

Seriously, I felt her loneliness lor... I did my best to entertain her when she was at my place... That's the only thing I can do to prevent her from being bored all the while.. All she needs is a listener, whether or not the listener understands, the most important is that some one is listening to her...

This drives me to think about my old age... What will happen to me?? Or even closer will be my parents, how would they be??
Life is so unpredictable...

Cherish what you have at the moment...
